Live music, football and carnival: our next dates at a glance.
Friday, 6 to 9 pm: Trööt & Flitsch live at Em Höttche. The Cologne duo plays Rhenish world music: Erhard Schwartz on tuba ("Trööt" in Kölsch dialect), Hansjörg Schall on vocals and mandolin ("Flitsch"). On the bill: Kölsch classics from Willi Ostermann to the Bläck Fööss, their own humorous songs and Krätzchen. Just right for an after-work Kölsch at the bar. Reservations recommended.
Sunday 11 Oct, kick-off 15:30: the Rhineland derby live on DAZN at Em Höttche. Kölsch in your glass, FC on the screen – followed by Freiburg vs Schalke at 17:30. Seats with a view of the screen go fast – best to reserve.
Alaaf! On 11 November at 11:11 the new carnival season kicks off right outside our door at the Old Town Hall – from noon we carry on at Em Höttche with DJ Thomas and fresh Kölsch. DJ Thomas (Thomas Berzheim) is a Bonn event DJ with more than 20 years of experience at weddings, company parties and carnival. He plays current charts, hits from the 70s to the 2000s, Schlager, German New Wave and carnival music, always reading the room. Reservations recommended.
