Bonn's Christmas market attracts visitors with its colorful hustle and bustle - but after a long stroll through the festively decorated stalls, you long for warmth and comfort. This is exactly where our Höttche comes into play: step inside and leave the hustle and bustle outside. We have a Christmassy atmosphere that invites you to linger. Our lovely decorations will get you in the mood for the festive season while you make yourself comfortable at one of our tables.
Warming starters for cold winter days
What could be nicer than being warmed up with a steaming soup after a walk through the wintry city? Our pumpkin soup (€6.90) brings the flavors of autumn to your plate - velvety, spicy and just right for the cold season. If you like it traditional, go for the potato soup like grandma used to make (€5.90) - a classic that brings back childhood memories and is pure comfort.

Rhenish specialties
Rhenish Sauerbraten (€24.50) is and remains the king of Rhenish cuisine. We serve it with potato dumplings, an aromatic raisin sauce, red cabbage and apples - just as a true Rhinelander should. The beef roulade (€24.90, 180g) with red cabbage and potato dumplings is another specialty that leaves nothing to be desired.
Festive duck dishes
Duck is of course a must at Christmas time. Our duck leg from the oven (€23.90) is gently cooked until the meat is tender and falls off the bone. Served with red cabbage, potato dumplings and baked apples, it is the epitome of a festive meal. If you prefer something a little more sophisticated, choose the duck breast from the oven (€27.90) - roasted pink and served with the same delicious side dishes.
Game from local forests
The winter months are traditionally the time for game dishes. Our fine venison goulash (€27.20) is made from 100% German venison and is served with butter spaetzle, red cabbage and a cranberry pear. For special occasions, we recommend the wild boar roast (€33.90) with butter spaetzle, bacon red cabbage and cranberry pear - a dish that perfectly combines gamey flavors and sophisticated side dishes.
The sweet finish
No festive meal is complete without dessert: our three kinds of panna cotta (€8.90) with speculoos, raspberries and blueberries combines Christmas spices with fruity notes - a poem for anyone with a sweet tooth.
